Set Up Link Payment Method Using the Express Payment Button

Last updated on October 22, 2025

We have automated customer payment information to create a smooth checkout experience. Integrates links directly into your existing Stripe Payments user interface; it’s available in Checkout with no code required and matches your customized user interface in Elements.

Customers store their payment information with the Link app and reuse it across any Stripe merchants with Link enabled. When new customers come to your site, they can use the Link to pay with their saved payment details.

ⓘ To use the link,

1. Activate the link in the Stripe Payment Method settings.

2. Register the domain.

Go to Settings > Payment > Payment Methods domain from the Stripe dashboard and add the domain. Whether it’s production or testing, all domains need to be registered. Register only once for each account.

Payment methods are available only if you use a supported browser and pay in a supported currency.

Link settings

  • Install and activate the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway Plugin.
  • From the WordPress dashboard, go to Themehigh Stripe > General Settings.
  • Now click the Express Payment Buttons tab.
  • Click on Link.

Link – Settings page

  • Links – Activate and securely check to store payment information on the link
  • Show on pages – The link button will appear on the selected page. Available page options are

          1. Cart Page

         2. Product Page

         3. Checkout Page

How Link works

  • Saving Payment Information – Customers store their payment information at checkout.
  • Pay in one click – You can record your saved payment details with one click for all future purchases on supported websites.
  • Account verification – Customers use the link on a new website or new device they receive a one-time code via SMS to verify your ID and keep your payment information secure.

Pay via Link

Customers paying from Link click on the link button.

  • New Link customers will be asked to save the information in their Link account when they click the Link button.  Customers can create link accounts by entering their email, phone and payment details to confirm future payments faster.
  • For returning Link customers, when they click the Link button, they’re asked to authenticate with an SMS or email code. Once the customer is authenticated, the link will load previously saved payment details and can pay with one click. If this customer has authenticated his account on the website in the last 90 days on your site or through a different link-enabled business, he does not need to do it again.
