Set Up Google Pay Using the Express Payment Button

Last updated on October 22, 2025

Google Pay allows customers to make payments using credit or debit cards stored in their Google account. It works when Google Pay customers set it up on their device.

ⓘ To use Google Pay,

1. Activate Google Pay in the Stripe payment method settings.

2. Domain Register: Go to Settings > Payment > Payment Methods domain from the Stripe dashboard and add the domain. Whether it’s production or testing, all domains need to be registered. Register only once for each account.

3. To accept Google payments on the web, it must be provided through an HTTPS webpage with a valid TLS domain certificate.

Payment methods are only available when you use a supported browser and pay in a supported currency.

Settings

  1. First install and activate the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway plugin.
  2.  Go to the plugin settings or, from the WordPress dashboard, to Themehigh Stripe > General settings.
  3. Drives the Express Payment button.
  4. Now click G Pay.
  • Google Pay: Activate payment via the G-Pay button.
  • Show on pages: You can show the payment button on the cart, checkout, or on the product page.
  • Button Settings:

1. Type: Select the button type as either Buy, Pay, or Donate.

2. Theme: Choose the button theme as either a dark, light, or light outline.

Finally, click Save/Update the plugin settings.
